Skin care is a huge thing for me. When my skins not looking too good, I’m not feeling too good. Now it’s easy to sound vain while saying something like that but the thing is, I don’t function as well when I’m not feeling confident, and functioning well sounds like a fundamental need to do good things and live a good life, right? These are a few of my favorite products to help combat acne and give your skin a brand new purpose.
When I wake up I’m an absolute mess. Most mornings I don’t even have enough energy to go downstairs and make myself a coffee. The thing that helps most for this exhaustion is washing my face. I use Kate Somervilles Gentle Daily Wash cleanser for both morning and night. Another cheaper alternative for cleanser is Cetaphil. I usually bring the travel size when I’m traveling or on the go and it’s never done me wrong. I’m a HUGE believer in sunscreen and Kate Somerville also has a great SPF 50 Moisturizing sunscreen that doesn’t cake on and feel too heavy. I follow that with using Tata Harpers Illuminating moisturizer and eye cream. It makes you glow and whenever I have it on I feel that brow gel and mascara are the only other necessary tools to look alive.
Whenever I have breakouts the EradiKate spot treatment dries those bad boys out in no time. You just apply it with a Q tip and let it do it’s magic. I sometimes wear it out when i’m running errands because it’s pink and why not.
If you have time, Rodial eye masks hydrate and tone dark and puffy circles. If you’re anything like me, THIS IS A MUST. I also really enjoy doing lip scrubs and Lush has the best products that not only are effective but tastyyyy.
If I’m wearing make up I like to use Eve Loms cleanser at night. It feels so good and works great but is a little more work. You start with a warm wash cloth over your face before you apply to open up the pores and end with a cold wash cloth to the face to close the pores. I enjoy the routine since it feels like you’re at a spa and you get to pamper yourself a little. My favorite moisturizer for night time is ExfoliKate. It makes your face tingle a little and exfoliates your face while moisturizing. If you travel a lot or get dry skin due to crazy weather, Lineage has an amazing Water sleeping mask for your face and also one for your lips. I’ve recommended it to countless amount of friends and they’ve all become obsessed.
I think it’s important to get facials at least once a month if you can, but sometimes it’s nice to be able to do them at home aaand for a lot cheaper. This Indian Healing Clay mask is AMAZING. Whenever I’m facing a menacing cystic pimple, I conjure up this bad boy with apple cider vinegar and it significantly helps.
Clear skin or not, love what you’ve been given. Skin, just like life, is a process that goes back and forth between satisfactory to not. Be kind to your skin and yourself. X

March 15, 2018 at 8:00 amI’ve found Evologie’s Intensive Blemish Serum works great for me! Every time I breakout it leaves me with so much scarring. This product has helped me immensely! Literally within a few days my face cleared up! I swear by this. Whenever I use it I put on a thin layer over night, just have to remember to moisturize, moisturize, moisturize to prevent dry skin. I think you can even wear it beneath makeup, if I remember correctly. It’s a bit pricey for the size but so worth it! Below is the link – I purchased from Amazon. Discovered it through Birchbox.
