Oh finding the perfect outfit for a date. Sometimes it comes easy, other times it’s a complete disaster. Today’s post is my idea of a casual date outfit. Eric took me mini golfing and I’ll say it now, MAYBE you won’t want to wear heels while running around fake grass hitting balls and trying your best not to accidentally hit children. That’s understandable. But in my case, the heels made it a good excuse as to why I was not doing so well. (I’m not the greatest at mini golf but I’m extremely competitive.) NOT the best mix.
Now, something you should always take into consideration is comfort over everything (that’s a peak into my newly practical only lifestyle). Obviously you want to look cute, but you don’t want to be wearing something constricting or too loose and have to be self conscious about it the entire time, especially for first dates. Dates are already uncomfortable in that stage, you don’t want your outfit to be adding to the stress. Unless you thrive in stressful situations then follow your bliss.
I decided to wear this dress since it’s comfortable and moves well, and the belt helped taking in my waist so I wasn’t a walking rectangle. I knew heels were in the cards for me (and these are so comfy) so the jean jacket helped dress it down for the time of day and what we were doing. Although, I ALWAYS say it’s better to be over dressed than under dressed. Don’t you agree?
It was extremely windy when we decided to go (also was an excuse I used for when I’d have to hit the ball a million times to get it in), so my hair was all over the place but that’s what makes things fun! Dates can sometimes be so nerve wracking so ultimately the best thing that’ll help you ease into it is being yourself.
Hope you liked the outfit!
