It’s summer in sunny (and hot as HELL) Los Angeles meaning all new opportunities for outfits. For the past how ever many years of being a young adult woman, I’ve been experimenting with feminine and comfortable looks. When it’s ninety plus degrees outside I usually vouch for being as naked as possible… Unfortunately, that’s not “socially acceptable” and clothes are “necessary whenever you step outside”…. I didn’t make the rules and I clearly do not agree with them… is it too late to fight that?
ANYWAYS, I was never a big sneaker fan but I’m slowly but surely being pulled in by the trend… I got a pair of vans the other day and I’ve been wearing them non stop. They’re so comfortable and if you’ve been following me for a while now, you know comfort is everything for me. I’ve been pairing them with shorts and jumpers, since it’s too hot to wear them with anything else. I complain when i’m uncomfortable so these shoes save a lot of headaches… for other people.
I got a pair of Doc Martens last month and the obsession is back on. I used to wear Docs all the time as a teen (getting old, meh) but now I’ve been drawn back in! I wear them with all types of dresses and they seem to go with about 99% of everything I pair them with. They’re a more bulky pair but if you’re wearing them with minimal clothing, it shouldn’t bother you too much. It adds a little edge to a feminine outfit which works perfectly for summertime in my opinion.
These heels from Urban Outfitters have been another favorite of mine when I want to be a little more dressed up without having to wear boot. They’re super comfortable and make for a cute delicate look with literally any outfit. Jeans, dresses, rompers seem to all go with the shoe. I also have been loving these Jeffrey Campbell shoes. They’re really funky and add some fun detail to a more casual outfit like jeans and a body suit.
If you’ve noticed by now the thing they all have in common is that they have a little bit of height to them and if you’re as short as me standing at five foot three… the extra help goes a longggg way. These have been my favorite shoes since summer has started. I guarantee you’ll be obsessed too. If you guys get any of them items, tag me on insta! Can’t wait to match with you 😉

June 21, 2018 at 3:19 amI agree with you Stella with a resounding, Yes.right**** Laying down guidelines is ALWAYS good when purchasing shoes when like in your case “rock it” down the runway. Being possessive is a good trait when walking around the MALL for shoes or Doc’s Can’t wait for your next summer fashion—-shot campaign. I’m sure it will be scorcher. That is not rocket science to figure-out.
