Yesterday I went to launch of silk laundry’s first charity slip. If you don’t know silk laundry, you need to. Silk laundry has slip dresses that vary from short to mid length (I’m the fan of mid length) dresses and also skirts. They’re super comfortable and flattering and recommend it to anyone. It literally is the easiest way to look sexy and put together with minimal (TO NONE) effort. We’ve established as a group here that I can’t deal with spending too much time getting ready. The greatest issue of my life will be the tedious process of picking out an outfit. Most times I throw on whatever is clean and run out the door to run errands or get my shit together, but the days where I do care and don’t feel good in anything I put on are perhaps some of the worst days ever. I know you’ve been through this too, don’t lie!!!!
They had the luncheon at the Chateau Marmont so I brought my cute pal Alexa with me and we met nice new friends and saw a few familiar faces. I absolutely love the Chateau Marmont. It feels like you’ve stepped into a different world and they have amazing food. Unfortunately for me, they had a prefix menu for the event that pretty much included everything I hate like avocado toast, grilled cheese with onions etc etc…. and yes, champagne problems but still was a devastating meal choice for me! Do you guys think i’m crazy for not liking avocado?! The texture is just sooo… bleh. Although I clearly went in for the dessert. Typical.
I wore their leopard print mid length slip with my favorite vintage fringe jacket and my latest OBSESSION…. naked wolfe shoes. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve worn the two pairs since I’ve gotten them (partially because the number might be slightly gross) but highly recommend as well. I’m soooo happy chunky tennis shoes are back in style.

Yesterday was also my dads three year passing date so I was a little hesitant to go to the event last minute since I was feeling a little down, but I persevered and decided to just say fuck it and go and I am truly so glad I did! If you’re ever feeling down and can’t decide whether or not you should get out of the house, just do it. You can always go home if it turns out to be a major bad move, which truthfully always is a 50/50 chance. BUT had I stayed home and dwelled in my gloom, I wouldn’t have had the day I did and that would’ve been so devastating! So strive to push through the discomfort and don’t forget you can always lean on your friends in times of vulnerability. You’re not meant to do life alone! Xx
